Tikka masala paste is a spicy and flavorful paste that is commonly used in Indian cooking. Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. In a dry pan over medium heat, toast the coriander and cumin seeds for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Using a mortar and pestle or spice grinder, grind the toasted coriander and cumin seeds into a fine powder.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground coriander and cumin, smoked paprika, turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala, salt, black pepper, cinnamon powder, minced garlic, minced ginger, tomato paste, and vegetable oil.
  4. Mix all ingredients until well combined and you have a smooth paste.
  5. Store the tikka masala paste in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
